ACCOMMODATION
The house is situated opposite the Harbour in the village of Sand in the Troms area of Northern Norway.
The house has five bedrooms and can sleep up to ten persons.

Magical Malangen, Fishing Heaven
Fishing in the stunning surroundings of Malangen Fjord you will catch an abundance of fish, and a wide range of species. Big Cod & Halibut are caught regularly along with all types of fish including, Plaice, dabs, Haddock, Ling, Redfish, Wolf fish, Sea Trout and even Salmon !!! trolling small lures is a great technique in the fjord opposite the harbour heading up towards the river. Malangen fjord is noted for Halibut, they come in to feed on the dabs and coalies and they can be in surprisingly shallow water, sometimes in less than 10m. Heading out towards the mouth of the fjord there is a stretch of deep water where the bait shoals come through, this is where you catch the Coalies, Cod & Haddock in mid water. The Haddocks give a great fight when they hit the lures in mid water, incredible sport. On the north side of the fjord entrance is the island of Senja, the Cod & Coalie shoals come through here from the open sea to feed up on the bait shoals and small coalies, so the fishing can be exceptional, especially just before and over high & low water. Whole coalies and large shads fish really well for the Big Cod and for the big Halibut, black pirks catch a lot of Halibut here as well.
Head inside of the fjord and you have a choice of four fjords to fish in, Rossfjord, Malselvfjord, Aursfjord and Nordfjord, lots of choices and plenty of sheltered places to go if its windy weather. The ground is mixed, with rocky, sandy and shingle areas, so plenty of species to target. Plaice fishing can be top class, with baited rigs, using fish bait or worm baits !!!!!!!
TRAVEL
To reach Malangen, you fly to Tromso airport, where you will be transferred by road, approx. 1.5 hours.
